How to install your eSIM

Two minutes on a Wi-Fi connection, before you fly. Installing does not start your plan — the clock begins when the eSIM first connects in your destination.

Before you start

Use Wi-Fi or your normal mobile data — the install needs a working connection. Have the QR code from your order page open on another screen, or use the activation code to install from the same phone.

iPhone

Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. On iOS 17.4 and later you can paste the activation code instead.

Android

Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM → Scan QR code. Wording varies slightly by manufacturer.

Connected, but no data?

Check three things in your phone's mobile settings: the travel line is switched on, data roaming is enabled for that line, and it is selected as your mobile data line. Roaming sounds wrong but is correct — to the local network, the eSIM is roaming.

If it does not work

How do I install it?

On an iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later you can paste the activation code and the system takes over. On Android, and on older iPhones, you scan the QR code or type the SM-DP+ address and activation code into your phone's eSIM settings. Both routes are shown on your order page.

Why is Android more work?

Android only lets an app install an eSIM directly if the profile carries that app's credentials — something only a mobile operator can do, not a reseller. Every reseller has this limitation, so Android installs go through the phone's own settings screen.

Should I install before I travel or after I land?

Install before you leave, while you still have reliable internet — installing needs a connection, which is exactly what you will not have on arrival. Installing does not start the plan.

Can I install the same eSIM on a second phone?

No. An eSIM profile can only be installed once. If you delete it from your phone it cannot be recovered, so do not remove it until the plan has expired.
